STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

WILL NOT IGNITE

For an electric stove will not start, check if the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is burning, that means another part will need to be repaired. The reason for the issue might be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven with no produce heat won’t do much good. Your oven does not heat when there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner doesn’t ignite when an element breaks or if the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We know how to troubleshoot and fix these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

You can assume the control panel on an oven is broken when the program or timer functions don’t work. If that’s the case, we are able to repair control panels for Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on all of the control panels and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You want a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it might be because of an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen are able to diagnose the reason for the problem and repair it. Be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter glows but it won’t light. The cause is from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we are able to fix these parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens are known to have door issues. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door does not open and then complete the repair so we can fix the issue.
